Customer Service Specialist – Occupational Health - Abingdon 

12 month contract 

Peopleforce Recruitment are hiring for a Customer Service Specialist in Abingdon for one of our leading healthcare partners. This role is part of the Occupational Health Customer Service team. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, helping them book services, answer questions, and make sure everything runs smoothly.

Your work directly impacts customer experience and helps ensure services are delivered efficiently and on time.

What you will do

Customer support

  • Answer customer queries by phone and email
  • Provide clear, helpful, and professional support
  • Solve issues quickly and accurately
  • Manage and process Occupational Health bookings
  • Open and manage clinic schedules
  • Make sure appointments are correctly set up
  • Work with internal teams (clinical, lab, etc.) to resolve queries
  • Liaise with external suppliers to ensure services run smoothly
  • Act as a link between customers and internal teams
  • Follow standard procedures and service guidelines
  • Meet KPIs and service targets (SLAs)
  • Complete general administrative tasks
  • Help keep processes accurate and efficient

Skills and experience needed

Essential

  • Good written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Good problem-solving skills

Desirable

  • Previous customer service experience
  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Experience in healthcare or a service-based environment
